Mushroom › Pricing

One token. The whole app.

Mushroom is not sold for dollars any more. Hold $MUSHROOM and the app is unlocked, the skins are unlocked, and the pet keeps working for as long as your wallet says so. Two numbers, one coin, nothing to renew, and the same 7 days to try it before you decide.

Three ways to have it

Try it free, hold it, or pay per month.

Everything below runs on the same app in the same menu bar. The only difference is how much $MUSHROOM you hold, and whether you want us to run the two server features for you.

Get $MUSHROOM

The numbers above are fixed at launch: 250,000 $MUSHROOM buys a license and 75,000 covers a month of our servers, whatever the market does to the price afterwards. If the coin goes up, the license costs you fewer dollars, not more tokens.

Side by side

What a wallet gets you.

Hold is not a discount code, it is the license. Here is the whole difference between the free trial, holding the coin, and paying for the two server features by the month.

The one part that is not a purchase

Two features run on servers, and only those two.

Friends messaging and Spore Storage file sharing send things between your devices, so unlike everything else in Mushroom they cannot run purely on your Mac. That makes them the only part of Mushroom that can cost anything on a monthly basis, which is why they are the only part sold as a pass.

Holding already covers them

If you hold the license amount, both features are yours on our servers, at no extra cost, for as long as you hold. Nothing to renew, and nothing changes if the price of the coin does.

Would rather run them yourself?

You can, on both versions, and it costs nothing and needs no tokens at all. The server software ships with every release and runs on your own Linux box or your own cloud account. When you do, those two features stop reaching us entirely, and the pass becomes pointless.

The short answers

Everything else people ask about holding.

What does it cost?
250,000 $MUSHROOM once, for the whole app and every future version. There is no dollar price any more, and no card anywhere. Try it free for 7 days before you buy any.
Where do I get $MUSHROOM?
On Solana, from launch day, at the contract address on the token section of the home page. That card and @mushroom on X are the only two places we publish the address.
Is it a subscription?
The app is not. Hold the coins and it never stops working. The only monthly thing is the optional pass for the two features that run on our servers, and you can replace it with a server of your own for nothing.
What if I sell the coins?
The app sleeps in the menu bar and nothing is lost: notes, reminders, stats and settings stay where they are, and buying the balance back wakes all of it up. Your license is the balance, not a receipt.
How long is the trial?
7 days, with no wallet, no account and no card. Longer than most people need to know whether a pixel mushroom can get them to stand up.
How many devices?
Up to 5, Macs and Windows PCs together, on one wallet. Point the app at the same wallet on each machine and it unlocks there too.
Are updates free?
Yes, every version forever, to everyone holding the license amount. The app updates itself and checks the balance afterwards, not before.
What is the x402 endpoint?
A way for an AI agent to pay the pet per request in $MUSHROOM instead of holding anything. Claude Code, Codex, or your own agent can book a focus block or schedule a reminder for a fraction of a cent, settled on Solana between the two of you.
Does the token pay for anything else?
Every purchase in the app (skins, passes, x402 calls) is used to buy $MUSHROOM off the market and burn it. The supply falls as the app gets used, not as the marketing gets louder.
What does it need to run?
macOS 15 or later on an Apple Silicon Mac, or Windows 11. The chat additionally needs Apple Intelligence on macOS 26, or a model you download once from inside the app.
What leaves my machine?
Nothing, unless you switch on iCloud sync or one of the two sharing features. Reminders, notes, chats and stats are one file on your own disk, and the balance check reads a public chain, not your data.
Can I use it at work?
Yes. An organisation buys one license per person, each with its own wallet and the same 5 devices. Spreading one wallet across a team is the thing that is not allowed.
Is this financial advice?
No. $MUSHROOM is the way you buy and run the app, it is not a promise of a return, and nobody here will ever ask you to send coins to an address that is not on this site.
